- A special marjoram variety that is native to the island of Crete.
- It is very sweet and aromatic with a floral mint/oregano and pine flavour.
- It grows into a compact shrub with miniature dark green leaves which turn silver in summer and grows fragrant pink blooms.
- Not to be confused with ‘sweet marjoram’ which has white blooms and larger leaves.
- Can be used like oregano in cooking either fresh or dried in marinates, sauces and other cooked dishes.
- Traditionally brewed as a therapeutic tea which helps sooth stomach aches and gall bladder pain. Full of antibacterial properties is a great relief for cold and flu symptoms.
